| girls vs women | why do we hate each other so much |

Have you ever gotten to that point in your life when you just sit down and say it’s time to cut the crap?

Why are females so good at tearing each other down. If all that energy was spent on building each other up wouldn’t the world be a better place. I think it’s about time that we all cut the crap, grow up and start encouraging one another. Empowering each other in the things we are called to do.

I sit here and wonder why, when one of sisters is succeeding, fulfilling their destiny and generally going great in life, we have to pull her down. From high school to adulthood why are female’s so mean?

What gives us the right? Are we jealous, intimidated and fearful of other people’s success? Do we put too much pressure on ourselves to live up to other people’s standards so therefore feel the need to bring other’s down to our level instead of reaching up to theirs? Is it a case of tall poppy syndrome or do we just not like these people.

As a generation is growing up discouraged shouldn’t we be the role models to those young girls and be the ones showing them what it means to be encouraged, empowered and free.

There is such an amazing freedom and power when you lift someone up.

So I have decided to set a challenge: find a female family member, friend or even someone you work with and empower them in an area of their life that you believe they are great in. They may be a writer, artist, an amazing accountant or even a fabulous stay at home mum. Whatever you know they are great at let them know. Simple as that!

Think of this as a ‘pay it forward’ challenge.

I’d love to hear if you have taken part in the challenge and if you have reply with ‘challenge accepted’. Remember to let me know how it went.
